When Kat reached out to me last summer about redoing her and David’s wedding photos from 15 years ago, my eyes lit up with excitement! Of course, I was bummed that they weren’t pleased with their original wedding photos. But, I felt so honored that they trusted me with capturing their souls in love.
Kat is a creative soul who knew exactly what she wanted when it came to the vibe of the shoot. She had even made the most beautiful mood board encapsulating her desires for the shoot. I was so blown away and excited to capture the couple’s romantic and playful nature. Even more exciting was the fact that this shoot was destined to be super collaborative.
Describing Kat as creative is an understatement. She’s an artist and the owner of Okay Cutie Clay, based out of Virginia. She handcrafts polymer clay jewelry and accessories that make you say Okay Cutie! Not only did she design the gorgeous earrings that she wore for our session, she also created the bouquet!
When Kat told me that they were interested in a mountain vibe, I knew the exactly where we should adventure. Nothing beats mountain views from a gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway overlook.
I’m so excited to share some photos from this amazing evening with you!
